Coffee initially became a passion of ours because of its unique ability to bring people together. Our desire was to create a great coffee experience, from aroma to taste to conversation, through our beans. Also, to do our part, however small it may be, to create a better quality of life for the most crucial aspect of a good cup of coffee, the farm it’s grown on.
In March 2008, Jenni (my wife) and I began roasting coffee on a converted gas grill in our back garage in order to bring great coffee to Dallas. Without the convenience of a retail storefront, we began delivering the coffee ‘milkman style’ to our neighbors in Oak Cliff. Every other week our customers wake up to a fresh-roasted coffee hanging in a little burlap sack on their doorknob.
Since then our story has been about relationships and steady growth. We now supply our coffee to, and work closely with, some of the best coffeehouses, restaurants and retailers in the Dallas area… from McKinney to Midlothian. We have moved out of the garage and acquired a couple of commercial roasters along the way. We also hired an employee (my sister, D’Andra) to help with increasing demand.
We strive to bring the best and freshest coffee possible to the DFW Metroplex, and we believe that how we live and do business will affect relationships locally and globally.
None of us live autonomous lives; everything we do in public or in private has implications and impacts on others and the world around us. We hope that you will enjoy and share our coffee and be encouraged to consider the impacts of your life.
“Coffee, much like life, is not simply about what you consume, but what you can create.” Your Roaster, Shannon Neffendorf |
